New to the site, do you add or delete from your list of 33 ETF’s, or does the list remain the same?
Hi Terry
The list is relatively static.
I do add or drop funds occasionally, but I do try to keep that to an absolute minimum.
One example is that I switched the US Small Cap Value fund from VBR to RWJ last year.
One other change that may happen in 2020 is that I may drop Thailand THD.
I do like this fund, but it’s been a serious underperformer since I added it last year.
I can still get Emerging Market exposure with DGS & DEM even if I do drop THD, so not too worried about that.
I consider all of these as long-term holdings, which to me means that I’d be happy to own them for 25+ years.
But, I also let the evidence of the past to guide my decisions.
Bottom line, I probably add, delete or switch funds about twice a year on average.
I hope this helps answer your question.
Please write again with any other questions or suggestions.
Thanks
Micah
Ps: I do post the changes I’ve made when I put out my annual performance report. Here’s a link to my 2018 performance report: https://deepvalueetfaccumulator.com/blog/2018-annual-performance-report-the-deep-value-etf-accumulator/
