Today we closed our position in The New Germany Fund, Inc. (GF). This move was to take care of 2 items that I’ve been contemplating for some time:
1. Portfolio consolidation; we will be moving the proceeds to a foreign small / mid cap equity fund (PDN).
2. Year-end tax loss harvesting.
