    1. Hi Dan. I was tired of getting 0.2% interest on my savings. I moved some of our savings to an ultra short term bond ETF in M1. Ticker is PULS, yields about 2.5%. Basically created a 60/40 portfolio. Good catch. Thank you for following the blog. Micah

      1. Oh – ok – so you have 60% in PULS and 40% in your ETF accumulator pie?

I have been using NEAR as my cash holder in M1. Similar concept, so I will check out PULS.

        Thanks

        1. Hi Dan. Correct except 40% in PULS and 60% in the other 31 equity ETFs. NEAR looks very similar to PULS. I was also considering GSY, but went with PULS due to lower expense ratio and a little shorter duration. Looks like these short term bond funds are becoming quite popular. Micah

        2. Hi Dan
This post didn’t age well at all. I feel pretty ignorant, now, for recommending these ETFs. At one point our position in PULS was down 6% and we are still down about 3%. I’ve learned a lot during this market crash. One thing I’ve learned is that these short term bond funds are more volatile than I perceived. Due to the volatility of these funds, I will continue to hold a position in PULS, but I will also be holding a larger cash position at my local bank. I hope you are fairing well Dan.
          Micah
