Best Long-Term Performance International Large Cap Value ETFs 1.1

The International (Foreign) Large Cap Value asset class is a difficult asset class to research. The reason being is that there haven’t been funds available for very long in this asset class. The older mutual funds available in this asset class have only been around since the mid 1990’s. The oldest ETF available in this category is the BLDRS Developed Markets 100 ADR Index Fund (ADRD), inception December 2002. So, without significant fund data to compare this asset class with others, I am relying heavily on the expertise of historians, academic studies and reliable financial experts.

Continuing To Trim Fat Off Our Energy Equities (PXI) 1-3-2018

We are continuing to trim fat from our Energy Equities. We remain invested in the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio (PXI : $PXI.) Price paid $36.15. Price sold $40.68.

For those who are new to the Deep Value ETF Accumulator website, you may be wondering why we are selling shares of PXI instead of XLE, which is listed on the daily list. Well, the reason behind that is, I could not decide between XLE & PXI when I was accumulating shares, so we accumulated both. For now, we are going to continue holding both, but eventually we will divest from one or the other, but not both.

Additionally, I wrote an article specifically about PXI right here: Looking Under the Hood of the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio ETF (PXI) $PXI

Trimmed Some Fat Off Our Energy Equities Today (PXI) 12-26-17

We began trimming some fat off our Energy Equities today. I don’t foresee any problems in this industry; we’re just trimming some profits to move to another out-of-favor sector of the market. We still believe the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio (PXI : $PXI) is a good investment. Price paid $36.15. Price sold $39.56.

Gaining Insight With A Buyback ETF (NYSE: PKW) | Benzinga

“Share buybacks, along with dividends, are considered shareholder rewards, but there is additional insight to be gained from companies’ repurchase efforts. Several exchange-traded funds, in some form or fashion, focus on companies that are prodigious re-purchasers of their own shares, including the PowerShares BuyBack Achievers Portfolio”…

Still Accumulating Energy Equities (PXI)

We still don’t have a bottom in oil or oil related equities. So, we are back into accumulation mode of Energy Equities. Today we accumulated some more shares of the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio (PXI : $PXI). You gotta buy this stuff when it’s on sale folks. Looking Under the Hood of the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio ETF (PXI) $PXI

There is one singular reason that I invest in ETFs instead of mutual funds. That reason is transparency. I like the fact that I can look at an ETFs website and/or prospectus and in relatively short order know exactly what it will cost me (expense ratio), how much it will cost to buy and sell it (transaction costs) and what’s in it (holdings). As a new financial blogger, it was brought to my attention that I may not be transparent enough myself. Most folks probably haven’t heard of the PowerShares DWA Energy Momentum Portfolio ETF PXI, and definitely wouldn’t know why The Deep Value ETF Accumulator invests in it. That will be my purpose today; to look under the hood of PXI and discover why I see value in this ETF. Discovering Value in the Top 3 Energy ETFs 1.1

How would you like to own a fund that has outperformed the S&P 500 by over 3% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the last 18 years? Wouldn’t it be even better if you could purchase such a fund at a 28% discount from it’s all-time-high (ATH). Can such a fund be found in today’s raging bull market? The answer is a definite yes. The fund I’m talking about is The Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF XLE. (see also PXI & VDEContinue reading “Discovering Value in the Top 3 Energy ETFs 1.1”
